Founder guide
A small budget needs cleaner experiments, not fewer ideas.
Hold the product proof constant and test three hooks across two formats. Name every variant before launch, keep the destination and offer stable, and join performance back to the exact hypothesis.
Start with six variants
| ID | Hook | Format | Stable proof |
|---|---|---|---|
| H1-F1 | Old workflow frustration | Founder or user reaction plus demo | One product action to one visible result |
| H1-F2 | Old workflow frustration | Screen-led demonstration | One product action to one visible result |
| H2-F1 | Unexpected use moment | Founder or user reaction plus demo | One product action to one visible result |
| H2-F2 | Unexpected use moment | Screen-led demonstration | One product action to one visible result |
| H3-F1 | Result first | Founder or user reaction plus demo | One product action to one visible result |
| H3-F2 | Result first | Screen-led demonstration | One product action to one visible result |
Protect the learning
- Use the variant ID in the Meta ad name.
- Keep audience, offer, destination, and product proof stable inside the first matrix.
- Define the hypothesis in one sentence before production.
- Record delivery and outcome metrics from your own account, not a public competitor proxy.
- Iterate the strongest hook with new executions only after the first comparison is readable.
A brief should fit on one screen
Write the target moment, the exact first line or visual, the product action, the payoff screen, and the CTA. Everything else is a production choice. A brief that needs a strategy deck is too vague for a six-variant founder test.
